The enclosed envelope for mailing the completed paper questionnaire will be addressed to either Jeffersonville, Indiana, or Phoenix, Arizona, where the Census Bureau has mail processing centers.

The US Census Bureau reports that 99.9% of housing units have been accounted for in the 2020 census. However, 1% of households that have not filled out a census form can account for millions of people.  

Who should fill out the census? Everyone living in the United States should fill out a census form. The head of the household should account for everyone living in the home.

According to the US Census Bureau: If you are filling out the census for your home, you should count everyone living there as of Apr. 1, 2020. This includes anyone—related or unrelated to you—who lives and sleeps at your home most of the time.

Please be sure to count roommates, young children, newborns, and anyone renting a space in your home. If someone is staying in your home on Apr. 1 and has no usual home elsewhere, you should count them in your response to the 2020 census.

If someone, such as a college student, is living with you temporarily due to the COVID-19 situation, they should be counted where they ordinarily would be living on Apr. 1, 2020.
